ResearchPro is a federated search engine that allows searching across multiple databases from one easy-to-use interface. This tool is a fast and effective way to find multiple resources, even if you do not know the appropriate databases to search. ResearchPro may be accessed directly from the Library's Main Catalog, and from Encore's Search Results screen.

ResearchPro offers a Simple Search as well as an Advanced Search option. (See below)

• (1) ADVANCED SEARCH/SIMPLE SEARCH: Click to alternate between an advanced search and a simple search.
• (2) SEARCH FOR/CONSTRUCT SEARCH AS: Drop down menus allow you to select search term order and choose word operators (and/or/not) to make your search more specific. Research Pro transmits your search strategy to your selected databases as phrase searches. Research Pro does not control how the search is received and processed by individual databases. Some databases automatically group words together with an 'AND' while others may not. To retrieve the best search results, combine search terms with word operators.
• (3) RESULTS PER PAGE: Increase or decrease the number of results listed per page.
• (4) SEARCH BY CATEGORY: Search databases grouped into similar categories.
• (5) SEARCH BY RESOURCES: Search specific databases grouped by resources.
• (6) SAVE GROUP: Save your favorite Resources in a group and assign them a name. Groups can be searched from your patron record and can be retained indefinitely.
