English Conversation Groups for ESL Students - Literacy Dupage (NBL)

These groups are designed to give English-as-a-Second-Language students a chance to practice their skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment. There is no fee for attending these classes, and you do not have to attend every session. Patrons are invited to attend whenever they can. All adult learners are welcome.

Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2010® (95th)

This class is an introduction to Microsoft Excel 2010, a spreadsheet program that is a component of Microsoft Office 2010. A basic understanding of keyboarding and mouse operation is required for this class.

Please note that each class is a free-standing class and not part of any series. Computer class registration must be done in person at the Computer Lab. Please have your Naperville Public Library card with you to register.

There is a $10 attendance fee for each class that must be paid at the time of registration to hold your spot in the class. This $10 fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to another class or another person. If you cannot attend the class for any reason, please let the Computer Lab staff know so that we can offer the spot to someone on our waiting list.

Movie Night At The Library - "Run Lola Run" (NBL)

Twice a month on a Friday evening, you are invited to join other movie lovers for screenings of a wide variety of films from our large movie collection. Enjoy classics and newest releases, foreign films and musicals, with complimentary popcorn. You decide what movies to show by voting on Facebook! Titles will be posted 10 days prior to the screening date.

Creating Promotional Flyers With Microsoft Word 2010® (95th)

Special formatting techniques available in Microsoft Word will be discussed to prepare attractive flyers for various purposes. Topics include word art, inserting graphics, captions, inserting text boxes, and aligning graphics to each other and to text boxes. Text flow around graphics is also included in discussions. Anyone who is not familiar with using Microsoft Word at a basic level should first register for the introductory class.
