Author: Adiga, Aravind
Summary: This novel traces the quest of a poor Indian man from the country who comes to the city to find a wife that will support him and his family. The story highlights the class and economic differences in India, as well as presenting moral and ethical dilemmas as he claws his way to wealth and power.


Title: Body Movers
Author: Bond, Stephanie
Summary: This is a fun mystery where the main character, Carlotta, deals with her brother's loan sharks, her runaway parents, identity theft and murder, all while juggling the advances of three guys.


Title: No Talking
Author: Clements, Andrew
Summary: The boys and girls in the fifth grade class have a contest to see who can talk the least. They learn how to communicate without talking and learn to cooperate with each other and appreciate the opposite sex. A children's book.


Title: Four Seasons in Rome: on twins, insomnia, and the biggest funeral in the history of the world
Author: Doer, Anthony
Summary: A must read for anyone who has been to Italy, or anyone who wants to go. A very lyrical telling of the author's year in Rome with his first children, newborn twins. I felt like I was back in the city.


Title: A Case of Exploding Mangos
Author: Hanif, Mohammed
Summary: Set during the 1980s in Pakistan, this novel explores one conspiracy theory about the assassination of General Zia. This is also a brilliant satire in the vein of Catch-22.


Title: 13 Little Blue Envelopes
Author: Johnson, Maureen
Summary: A fun YA novel that shows a teen girl's unconventional first tour of Europe. Following the instructions in each letter, Ginny travels from London to Scotland, Rome, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris and Greece.


Title: This Charming Man
Author: Keyes, Marian
Summary: The Queen of Chick Lit triumphs again! Narrated by four women, each connected to the same man, the book unravels the complex story of Paddy de Coury and how one man can alter the lives of many women.


Title: The Second Assistant: a tale from the bottom of the Hollywood ladder
Author: Naylor, Clare
Summary: A Chick Lit story in a Hollywood setting. Complete with the excesses and vulnerabilities of film industry culture, female bonding, humor and, of course, a good romance.


Title: The Mystery Chronicles: more real-life X-Files
Author: Nickell, Joe
Summary: This book was filled with interesting and unique stories of the Mothman from Mount Pleasant, West Virginia; myths and truths about the shroud of Turin; voodoo of New Orleans; and psychic phenomenon.


Title: Vote for Larry
Author: Tashjian, Janet
Summary: Larry, a concerned 17 year old world citizen, runs a third party bid against G.W.. Bush and John Kerry. The political story is interweaved with a love story and one of betrayal within Larry's organization.
